The De Pieri Clinic is the first in Kelowna to offer Ultrasound-guided Dermal Filler Treatments
Dermal fillers are a safe and proven way to gently plump areas of the face lacking in youthful contour, whether due to genetics or the natural loss in volume that happens over time.
Intricate knowledge of facial anatomy, a medical-setting, selecting the finest-quality fillers, using the appropriate tools for each facial area, as well as accurate injection techniques, all contribute to their safety. At The De Pieri Clinic, we aim for the highest in patient satisfaction by offering the latest in aesthetic treatments, provided in the most effective and safest way.
The latest advancement in administering facial fillers promises even better results, while reducing the likelihood of complications. Incorporating ultrasound technology into our procedures, our team at The De Pieri Clinic are able to visualise real-time images of the underlying structures, significantly reducing the likelihood of complications, such as inadvertently injecting filler into blood vessels.
This wireless ultrasound guidance not only improves safety but also enhances the precision and accuracy of the procedure, resulting in more natural-looking and longer-lasting results.
Benefits of Ultrasound for Dermal Fillers:
The ultrasound clearly visualizes facial and superficial anatomy in real-time to safely guide procedures
Improve accuracy when dissolving problematic HA Fillers
Improve the safety of hyaluronic acid filler treatments
Avoid vascular complications and confirm filler placement
Confirm filler placement and vessel flow after injections
Measure dermal thickness prior to microneedling
Visualize safe cannula placement prior to injection
How does the ultrasound help?
The portable ultrasound scanner is a harmless way to visualise the superficial layers below the skin and for guiding the needle or cannula to the precise location of filler deposits in order to dissolve them. It can be used to map facial arteries, as required, and to verify and characterise existing facial fillers.
Ultrasound allows us to image products that have been injected in the past. In some cases, the product can cause prolonged swelling or irregularities in the skin. Should we determine that dissolving the product is needed, ultrasound can allow us to be very precise with our injection of hyaluronidase (dissolves the dermal filler product).
This helps optimize your treatment and reverse the filler. Employing ultrasound guidance in dermal filler injections brings numerous advantages. It allows for real-time visualization of vessels and nerves, facilitating more precise and accurate injections. Furthermore, the ability to target deeper layers of the skin enhances the outcome's natural appearance and prolongs its longevity. Our medical doctors leverage the power of facial ultrasound to enhance both the precision and safety of our procedures. We are committed to providing our clients with the highest standard of care, supported by cutting-edge techniques and technology.
