With our weight loss program, you’re guided through the steps with our experienced staff every step of the way. As we all know, there is no quick fix to health and wellness. No matter where you are at in the journey of life, we are happy to partner with you in your journey to health and wellness.
What medication is used?
In our weight loss program, our doctors prescribe Semaglutide in the form of Ozempic, Mounjaro, or Wegovy. This is a weekly injectable medicine used for adults with excess weight (BMI ≥27) who also have weight-related medical diagnoses, or adults with obesity (BMI≥30). It acts like human glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), which plays a role in regulating blood sugar and appetite.
Semaglutide is approved by Health Canada for the purpose of weight loss. The staff at the De Pieri Clinic are knowledgeable, experienced and are dedicated to providing an individualized approach to your weight loss program.Appointment process:
You will be scheduled with our nurse for 8 weekly visits. After this period, your appointments will be either weekly or bi-weekly, according to your individual needs. These appointments will continue until you achieve your goal weight, at which point you will have maintenance appointments.
