Weight loss and a healthy lifestyle are integrated into all of our functional medicine appointments. But if weight loss is your main goal, you may be interested in our weight-loss-specific program.
With our weight loss program, you’re guided through the steps with our experienced staff every step of the way. As we all know, there is no quick fix to health and wellness. No matter where you are at in the journey of life, we are happy to partner with you in your journey to health and wellness.
What medication is used?
Our weight loss program uses a medication caller Ozempic®, which is a weekly injectable prescription medicine used for adults with excess weight (BMI ≥27) who also have weight related medical problems or obesity (BMI≥30). It acts like human glucagon-like peptide-1 in that it increases insulin secretion, thereby increasing sugar metabolism.
Ozempic® is approved by Health Canada for the purpose of weight loss. The staff at the De Pieri Clinic are knowledgeable, experienced and are dedicated to provide a personal approach to your weight loss program.Appointment process:
You will be scheduled with our nurse for 5 weekly visits. After this period your appointments will be either weekly or bi-weekly according to your individual needs. These appointments will continue until you achieve your goal weight.
